This invention concept pertains to an electronic scanning technology, that uses three-dimensional depth scanning lasers, that determines if there are any abnormalities in food and disposes of the bad food. This scanning technology could be employed at canneries and food processing facilities, including detecting worms and bugs and abnormal growth and other characteristics of food, including meats, nuts, fruits, vegetables, and ingredients such as flour and sugar. This technology could pick out characteristics of food, such as bad texture, and just pick out the bad parts of the input source, or even the processed food, and exclude the food from going to the market. The technology could automatically detect diseases in meats, for example, and remove the meats from going to the market.
These technologies could use artificial intelligence to identify abnormalities in imagery, using a three-dimensional scanning technology, such as MASINT technology.
The U.S. government could regulate the food industry, to ensure or even require that this technology is used to ensure that all food is safe. The U.S. government said they would hire a scientist to study this technology, as they did not currently have a scientist that studies this technology, hired.
