Placement of Super-Materials at North/South Poles

This would be the placement of super-materials at the North Pole and South Pole, in order to increase the polarity of the super-magnetism and/or increase the absorption of localized heat, and/or increase the deflection of localized cold, such as the creation of ice and strengthening the ionosphere.
