Flood Proof Vehicles

This invention concept pertains to ensuring that motor vehicles have a way to be flood proofed, such as with electronic switches that ensure that the engine compartment is sealed off from water in case the engine compartment encounters water, including while driving or while parked. This would ensure that engine components are not damaged by the water they encounter, such as with high flood water or rising tides, or when a vehicle drives off-road and encounters high water tables. There could even be mandates made, such as that flood insurance for vehicles can only be purchased with vehicles that have this technology, or that replacement vehicles must have this technology, or that new vehicles in flood prone areas must have this technology to be insured, to ensure that vehicles can be restored properly without having to melt them down and rebuild the parts again, to save on fossil fuel consumption.
