This computer is within the main computer system for navigation, and includes star charts, sensor readings of known magnetic and other forms of spatial radiation, known navigation paths, and charts that show the relation of all of the various stars and planets based on time. Since the position of all of the stars and planets changes significantly over time, the complexity of the Star Charting Operations Computer is such that must calculate based on large amounts of variables determined by short-range and long-range sensor data, to determine for instance if there have been any changes in space. Changes that may significantly change the star charting would be planet collisions, super novas, black holes, spatial anomalies, and other types of rare occurrences.
