Laser Imprinting of New Fingerprints

There could be a technology that uses lasers to imprint new sets of fingerprints onto someone’s fingers. Basically, it would lightly burn away cells that are in the regular fingerprint form, and burn in new fingerprints on top of the blank fingerprints. This could be extremely painful to whomever gets it done, but it would be ideal for special operations.
