Variable Rate PLC Resistor Inductor
This invention concept pertains to a variable rate PLC resistor that is controlled through a step through 5-volt lead to configure the amount of inductance that the inductor produces, based on how much amperage will go through the inductor. Several different ways to make the variable rate resistor include different strands of different strengths of resistors, or different materials that change their resistance properties when different amounts of voltage of amperage are applied to them. This component can be produced for all form factors, such as dotter board or tiny form factor for direct application to dotter boards or motherboards, or large form factor for use with alarm systems or HAM radio systems.
