Technology Prototype Development

Technology Prototype Development is the process of converting an invention concept, such as one that has been created and documented through our Invention Concept Development service, into an innovative and functional invention. Through this process, the invention is taken from the state of a technological idea into a tangible physical prototype that can be submitted to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for the application of a patent for the invention. The patent must be filed in the name of the original inventor(s), whom you or your company would be hiring through our company. The work for hire agreement allows us to promptly transfer the rights of the patent to you or your organization, which would be predefined in a legal contract from your intellectual property law firm.

Our inventors have backgrounds in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer engineering through our autonomous organization: MCE123 Technology Development. We are connected with multiple PhD research programs at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and have the ability to recruit engineers from other prominent universities as well. Our engineers are highly skilled in taking a technological concept and turning it into an electronic device that serves as a proof of concept for a patent application.

Note: If the prototype will likely take longer than 1 year to complete and deliver to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), we need to develop the prototype first instead of filing for a provisional patent. Optionally, we could develop a much larger invention through a set of smaller inventions that comprise the components of the larger invention.

This service costs a flat rate of $1,200/hr per engineer that is required to build the prototype. We prefer that our clients have predefined legal contracts that we can at least negotiate or sign immediately that establishes the financial agreement between our organizations, and that they establish an account of at least $250,000 immediately before communicating any information about what the technological concept is that we are being contracted to develop. We adhere to a strict firm-client privilege concept, which means that we don’t communicate anything about what we are working on in MCE123 Technology Development unless we are legally authorized to do so.

MCE123 can provide your company with patent rights, transferred promptly after we produce a prototype under contract with your company for a design that is pre-defined. Contact us today to learn more about our Technology Prototype Development services.
