It is conceivable that a LED powered at a lower voltage with a higher amperage would produce more light than conventional LEDs. This is conceivable because light is actually very simple in nature, and relies on the frequency of the diode's current to voltage ratio. With a higher current, the LED would produce more light because it would oscillate at a higher frequency, while being maintained in the same light spectrum intended with the lower voltage. With this technology, and the right voltage rectifier circuit, the LED could become much smaller, yet infinitively bright as the current increases and the voltage decreases.
